Home Care Aide / Personal Care Attendant

Full-time & Part-time

Role Overview

Abide Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in the comfort of their own homes. Caregivers play an important role in helping clients remain safe, independent, engaged, and comfortable at home.

Responsibilities

  • Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Medication reminders
  • Mobility and activity assistance
  • Supervision and redirection, as appropriate
  • Transportation and accompaniment when applicable
  • Supporting meaningful activities and social connection
  • Communicating client needs or changes to the Abide Home Care team

Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
  • Comfortable working independently in a client's home
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing dignified, person-centered care
  • Ability to meet applicable California caregiver requirements

Requirements

  • Must be willing to complete required background screening, health clearances, training, and registration per California requirements
  • Valid Driver's License

Schedule

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability
  • Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be available
  • Holiday and additional shifts may be available
